The Snug
In the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells situated on the Pantiles, tucked away downstairs at Lemons Bar on the Pantiles are two stylish private hire-function rooms.
The perfect private hire space for celebrations and gatherings of up to 50 people. We don't do hire fees at Lemons Bar, we just kindly ask for a deposit and that during your booking with us, you meet our minimum spend requirement. We have a comprehensive and versatile menu of unique, delicious craft-cocktails and light bites to enjoy and help you do so, as well as the usual wines, beer, soft drinks and 0% options.
In addition to our Lemons Bar menu with in house canapés and small plates, we hold a partnership with Kumquat, our neighbours, who are our catering partner supplying our private functions with the finest quality canapés, finger food and small plates of modern Asian-fusion cuisine.
We can assist you in elevating each of our private hire rooms to suit your special occasion, whether that be through your own decor and styling or via your food and drinks requirements that you can curate with our events coordinator.
If you're looking for that added extra touch, we can arrange any special drinks requirements with our talented mixologists. You can make your guests feel special on arrival with a beautiful welcome drink, choose from our welcome drinks offering with a special rate for private hire events.

Kumquat is a fusion of cultures, continents, and life stories, blending the finest ingredients with expert craftmanship to offer a harmonious blend of two worlds.3 tiers of menus are available, including sharing platters and small bowl foods to fit any occasion you celebrate!
Room Details
The Snug
The Snug at Lemons Bar Tunbridge Wells is the epitome of stylish. The lighting is moody and ambient with a speakeasy vibe for relaxed get togethers. An ideal space for any celebrations, small gatherings, drinks receptions, business events, cheese + wine nights to name a few private hire occasions. We can cater the Snug to both standing and seated events.
We can also hold special cocktail masterclasses for 12-15 people at Lemons Bar on the Pantiles for private hire events.
The Snug has its own dedicated private bar and bartender to look after you and your guests offering you and your guests a special and more personalized private hire experience.
For music, the Snug is fitted with its own sound system, so you are able to enjoy your own music via a Spotify playlist or even hire your own musician. We are more than happy to help you arrange this from our little black book of Lemons Bar on the Pantiles musicians.
The Snug hired solo, without the use of the Table Room is best suitable for groups of up to 30-35 people.
The Table Room
The Table room is an ambient and modern private dining space for groups of up to twelve to fifteen seated. The Table room is the perfect setting for intimate drinks parties with small plates, ideal for private hire small celebrations and work events.
If your event is slightly larger, for gathering of up to sixty people, you can hire the full downstairs space which allows your guests to enjoy your event space across both rooms with an adjoining hallway and bar area. An ideal option would be to use the The Table Room for your catering and keep the Snug as your main party space. The rooms seamlessly blend together and create a unique setting for your celebration or event.
